The PyroVault 2.0 is a dual-wall, dual-color exoskeleton that offers tough, battlefield-grade protection and a better grip for a variety of lighter inserts. It is compatible with Zippo Single and Double Torch, Yellow Flame, Classic, Pipe, and Electric Rechargeable Inserts, as well as the Z-Plus Butane Extreme Torch 2.0, Thunderbird Single Torch Flame and Vector, Blazer Top-Z Dual Torch, and Power Practical Sparkr Insert. However, it is not compatible with butane or non-torch inserts that have a spring-loaded cam to open the fuel valve.

The PyroVault features a stainless torsion spring and axle, allowing for reliable one-handed opening. Its low-profile latch design leaves ample space for easy striker-wheel access on inserts that use a striker wheel. (Note: Lighter inserts are sold separately.)

The innovative design of the PyroVault ensures a full gasket seal, keeping fuel in while preventing water, dust, and dirt from getting in. This helps increase the reliability of your lighter insert by preventing evaporation of precious fuel. While the PyroVault is waterproof, it is not dive-rated and should not be subjected to prolonged, deep submersion.

Every PyroVault 2.0 Lighter Armor comes with a genuine Tinder-Quik Firestarter, which can be stored inside and below the insert you choose. This hidden firestarter can be invaluable in survival, camping, hunting, and hiking situations when dry tinder might be hard to find.

To improve retention in the field, the PyroVault 2.0 features a full-size lanyard hole, allowing you to attach your own lanyard. This enables you to permanently secure your lighter to a backpack, belt loop, or other gear, while still maintaining the flexibility to quickly access it when needed.
