To refill the torch lighter, first bleed the lighter by pressing the refill inlet valve with a small screwdriver until no hissing sound is heard. This will release all the tank pressure, as air inside the fuel tank prevents butane from being injected. Next, set the flame height adjustment to the lowest setting by turning the flame adjustment wheel clockwise, to prevent an unexpectedly high flame after refilling.

Hold the lighter and butane can in a vertical, upside-down position. Press the stem of the butane can into the refill valve in 5-second bursts to inject the butane. Wait 3-4 minutes before igniting the lighter, allowing the excess butane to evaporate and the fuel inside the lighter to reach room temperature.

To test the lighter, turn the flame adjustment wheel 1/2 turn counter-clockwise and attempt to light it. If it does not light, turn the adjustment wheel another 1/4 turn and try again. Continue adjusting the flame adjustment wheel until the flame reaches the desired level.

WARNING: Keep away from children. Refill or empty the lighter only in a well-ventilated area, never near any heat source, sparks, or flame. Do not smoke during refilling or emptying. Do not keep the lighter ignited for more than 10 seconds.
